From Communists to Progressives, How the Left Has Sabotaged Family and Marriage

Paul Kengor, Ph.D.

Takedown was released before five Supreme Court judges made same-sex marriage legal in the entire nation. Paul Kengor points out the absurd situation in which we find ourselves: that those who suggest using caution, of sticking with natural law and biblical law, with biology and tradition, are treated as the extremists!

Kengor traces the evolution of same-sex marriage as it became a cultural adaptation of communism's goal to destroy the family unit and to get rid of religion. The enemies of communism are "morality, tradition, religion, and God." He says, "The takedown of marriage has arrived, with the boundaries that always defined it removed. Most of all, the notion of a God, a Designer who set those boundaries, had to be removed and is being removed." Once marriage is redefined as anything but one man and one woman,"there will be no end to the redefinition."

How did America get to this place? Same-sex marriage became a means to a cultural revolution end, as promoted by the Frankfurt School, "left wing/atheistic academics and intellectuals who looked to the universities as home base to instill their ideas." Many came from Columbia University and from there the movement and its doctrines gained traction at colleges across the nation.

The Frankfurt School sought to "[redirect] Marx and Engel's economic-based communism to cultural applications, from income/class equality to sexual adaptations."

Because "communists will do whatever they need to do to destroy the family," in past fights they've been on the side of abortionists and radical feminists. Getting on board with same-sex marriage proponents was a logical next step.

According to Kengor, being duped is "not comprehending the deeper, darker forces at work, which you are unknowingly aiding and abetting." He contends that some in the gay-marriage movement and many of its supporters have been duped by communists.

Kengor says that "this is the only time that a majority of everyday Americans have agreed with communists in one of their sharp, atheistic stances against marriage and the family." Many may not agree that the majority of Americans support what the Supreme Court has made the law of the land, but it is important that all understand the movement's link to communism.

The secular left has long wanted to remove protections from individual Christians and from churches. Expect assaults on churches' freedom of speech and their tax-exempt status, as well as on the First Amendment rights of business owners and ordinary citizens.
