GET IN THE FIGHT Florida State Summit 2023 – August 17, 2023

Watch America’s Future Get In The Fight Florida State Summit 2023, the kick-off event for its nationwide campaign to end child exploitation and trafficking in America. The August 17, 2023 event was held in Sarasota and moderated by award-winning investigative journalist Lara Logan. Lara is an America’s Future Board Director and member of the Advisory Board of the organization’s Project Defend & Protect Our Children (PDPC), an initiative established to build a grassroots network of communities across the nation to end the crisis of child exploitation and trafficking.

Summit panelists, who are also members of the PDPC Advisory Board, included Tara Lee Rodas, HHS whistleblower who exposed government-sponsored, taxpayer-funded child trafficking at the southern border, Bazzel Baz, founder and president of the Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC), Tina Baz, ARC Human Trafficking Program Director, and Silvia Almond, President of S.O.A.P. (Save Our Adolescents From Prostitution).

The panel discussion highlighted the true and tragic reality of trafficked children, the horrific suffering they endure, and the need for all individuals to get involved and be fearlessly committed to protecting children against predators, including in the digital space.

Part of the event’s presentations included a multi-point “community call to action” plan and a unique online “Florida Information Resource Library” with state, county-local, and federal laws relative to child trafficking and exploitation and child protective services issues and other important materials, like local hotlines, statistical reports, and more.

Executive Director of America’s Future, Mary O’Neill, provided welcoming remarks and General Mike Flynn, America’s Future Board Chair, closed the event with a call for the hundreds of attendees to speak up and stand up to ensure the future of America, our individual rights, and the protection of children.
